Roads

posted Thursday, 27 July 2006

These are pictures of roads in my corner of the globe. They are certainly not the best roads you have seen, but compared to roads all over the world, I'd say they are not bad at all. One thing to remember is that these are just typical sub-urban roads in the United States, so you can't compare them to those amazing network of superhighways you see in the big cities. For readers outside the US, the US uses the left-hand drive system so do not be confused if it seems we are driving on the wrong side of the road! :)

By the way, have you noticed how wide some of these roads are? How do they compare with European roads for instance? :)

Very similiar to NYC parkways and by-ways. But cool none-the-less.

The US boost nice roads tho, ever wondered how it feels to cross a six lane highway,i'll tell u how it feels veeeeeeeery frightful.ok b4 u get to asking questions, lemme let u on the 411, y'all know how annoying it can be having a flat tire. That unfortunate day one of my tires decided to go on an escapade and i was running late for an appointment, gosh! well i called AAA left the car there and try to get myself to the other side of the road to catch the city bus.Honestly i wouldn't dare anyone crossing a six lane highway,i was so scared out of my bones,i think it took me about 45 minutes or so to get to the other side, cars just kept coming and coming but i finally made it with sweat profusely dripping off my face.Overall the roads in the US are cool
