Self-styled Father of Modern Nigeria, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, has become the central figure in another bizarre and mind-bending tale of colossal proportions! This time, he is mired in something far more serious and baffling than political drama—he has been accused by none other than his own son, Senator Gbenga Obasanjo, of having an adulterous relationship with his (Gbenga's) wife Mojisola. As if this is not shocking enough, Gbenga reveals that Mojisola also had an incestuous relationship with her father!
What a disgusting and embarrassing disgrace—if this is eventually proven to be accurate.
It would appear that indeed the Obasanjo's carefully packaged cocoon of deceits (or his pretensions to statesmanship) has been dealt the ultimate devastatingly shattering blow. With his reputation for vindictiveness, I truly wonder how he intends to punish his own son for this monumental embarrassment. Obasanjo has always been perceived as a philanderer—a septuagenarian with a serious libido. But I have no doubts that he will never want to be seen as the father who sleeps with his son's wife.
It is therefore surprising to note that in all the days since this unfortunate and abominable news began circulating, we have not heard or seen a vocal and visibly offended Obasanjo discrediting his son's revelations. Rather than take his son to task for washing family linen in public, Obasanjo has thought it wise to insinuate Orji Uzor Kalu into his madness. Unfortunately for him, Kalu wasted no time in debunking Obasanjo's lies. He has been judged in the court of public opinion, and I daresay the verdict holds Obasanjo guilty. Nigerians have always known that the Otta farmer is a lying, arrogant, corrupt thug—amongst many other vices—they are now just trying to wrap their minds around the fact that the ex-President's lack of moral fiber may just have been severely understated!
Na wa for WAEC….
P.S--Abeg, may the good Lord grant the Super Eagles success in Ghana, Amen. We need some positive and uplifting news in that corner of the world. The Super Eagles will confront Ivory Coast on tomorrow in Sekondi. Keep them in your prayers!
