Amateur African Fashion Show

posted Saturday, 8 July 2006

Sometimes there are certain invitations that I do not honor. The reason is simply because I feel out of place in such gatherings. So, I was invited to an Amateur African Fashion show, and I decided to go just for the fun of it. Well, I wasn't expecting much, but I have to say that there is something quite warm and inspiring as seeing these young lasses strut and do the catwalk.

Many of them (quite possibly all of them) may never go on to become fashion icons or supermodels. But at least, they will always remember the day they donned on fashionable apparel, came before a live audience and basked in the warmness of an admiring crowd. So pursue your dreams. You may start out slowly, but if u are pasisonate enough, soon you will succeed and then having conquered, you will look back and smile at the pains you endured to get to your goal.

Well, here are the pictures from the event. It was a low-key event, but a sure ego-booster for some of these young ladies. And yes, before you criticize, let's see you strut your stuff in the full glare of paparazzi!Laughing
