This is one of the better movies currently in the theatres. Rather than settle in for another cheesy comedy or another supposedly spooky movie, get a piece of this intriguing, gun-blazing fun.

In this movie, Ricardo Tubbs (Jamie Foxx) and Sonny Crockett (Colin Farrell) partner up and disguise themselves to enter the underground and deadly world of drug trafficking in South Florida. With the full co-operation of the authorities, this daring duo  bluffed and forced themselves to be accepted in the criminal underground. Then after they secured the confidence of the drug czar, they hatch a plot to bring this criminal enterprise down partly because of their string of murders. In the process, Sonny falls in love ( or lust as the case may be) with the wife of the drug lord so what ensues is a heady mix of raw passion, subterfuge, intrigue, violence and ultimately disappointment. Great gun scenes for your pleasure. The downside is that there is a high possibility that one can get bored with the movie before the real action begins. The beginning part of the movie was somewhat boring, flat and quite frankly poorly made. It picks up somewhere in the middle of the movie, and you find that you can ride that crest till the very end.

Have a pleasant weekend at the movies.

Thanks for the review, however, I didn't watch the tv show, though I am of that age, and have no interest in Colin Farrell's recent projects. I am in the minority on this 1 though.
